Message - Spiritual Disciplines: Worship
Today's Topic: We are exploring spiritual disciplines - habits that enhance God’s grace in our lives. Today we will celebrate the events of Palm Sunday and think about how the habit of worship shapes us. A key component of a heart of worship is a sense of awe and wonder of who God is. Take a moment now to consider 3 things that amaze you about God and prepare to praise God for them.

Scripture - Psalm 51
Message - Spiritual Disciplines: Confession
Today's Topic: Today we are exploring the spiritual discipline of confession. Jesus said, “Come to me all you who are weary and carrying heavy burdens and I will give you rest.” (Matt. 11:28). We can carry our sins around like heavy burdens. But to confess them to God gives us rest and freedom and joy.
Scripture - Acts 2:36-47
Message - Spiritual Disciplines: Fellowship
Today we are exploring the spiritual discipline of fellowship and we’ll discuss the belonging that we gain by being a part of the church. Consider for a moment any group you’ve been a part of that gave you a powerful sense of belonging. Why did you experience it that way? Do you believe the church can give you that same sense of belonging? How?
Scripture - Matthew 6:19-24
Message - Spiritual Disciplines: Service & Giving
Today we are exploring the spiritual disciplines of service and giving. Or, to put it another way, we’re talking about being generous. Can you think of the last time someone was generous to you - you received a generous slice of pie, you were given a generous tip or year-end bonus or someone gave you their undivided attention when they had other things they could do? How has God been generous to you? Thank him in prayer and prepare to be generous in your worship of God today.
Scripture & Message - Spiritual Disciplines: Prayer
Today we are exploring the spiritual discipline of prayer. Prayer was the one thing the disciples asked Jesus to teach them (Luke 11:1). We can learn from each other how to talk to God in prayer.
Here’s one prayer to reflect on: “Lead us, O God, from the sight of the lovely things of the world to the thought of Thee their Creator; and grant that delighting in the beautiful things of Thy creation, we may delight in Thee, the first author of beauty and the Sovereign Lord of all Thy works, blessed forevermore.” (St. Augustine)
Scripture - Mark 1:35-39; 1 Kings 19:11-13
Message - Spiritual Disciplines: Solitude and Silence
Today we are exploring the spiritual disciplines of solitude and silence. Take a moment of quiet before the Lord and reflect on the passage below. Consider why your soul might be restless, weary or worn. Listen for God’s voice. "Be still and know that I am God.” Psalm 46:10
