On October 4th, the JOY group will be traveling to visit the Amish Country by Hazelton, Iowa. We will meet at the church at 7:45 am, so we can car pool and leave at 8:00 am. We will go to Maple Grove Bakery first where you can buy some bakery goodies. Then we will stop at Boulevard Bakery for coffee and some baked goods. We will have time to take in some Amish options before or after lunch. These include: Detwiles Greenhouse, Oak View Furniture, and Pine Grove Store which includes fabrics and other misc. items. We plan to enjoy lunch around noon at the Coffee House which is on the backside of Plain View Country Store. The meal will be Amish style: 2 meats, 2 sides, 2 salads, and of course, Amish homemade pie. Yum! The cost for the meal is $15 per person. This will be a fun day with plenty of food.
