on our website!!

Attention: In compliance with recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the Iowa Department of Public Health (IDPH), we are cancelling/postponing all on-site activities at Hope Reformed Church until further notice.

Announcements

  • On-site Worship Services have been cancelled through the month of April. We encourage you to join us here on our website at 10:00 am Sunday morning. We plan to have a prerecorded service for everyone to view in the "Listen/Sermons" section.
  • Thank you for your generous donations to Hope Reformed Church! We know that we can trust your faithful support through this season. We also understand that decreased work hours and pay might mean that families are not able to give as they once did. If you should choose to donate, you may bring your offering to the church from 11-noon on Sundays or mail your donation to the church (611 4th Street Parkersburg IA 50665).
  • You may have noticed we have a cross in a window at church. We encourage you to display a cross in your windows, doors or yards to show our community that we have hope in Jesus during this trying time. We will continue to display our crosses through April 13th if you would like to join.
  • We have been hearing from 2 missionary families we at Hope support, the Scheenstras (Africa) and Shannon Ries (Philippines) about the effects of coronavirus on their ministry. If you would like to receive these email updates, please call or text Dort Kampman at 319-830-8958.
  • You may have noticed church bells ringing in Parkersburg. Every evening at 6:00 pm, our friends at the Christian Reformed Church ring their church bells as a signal for people to stop and pray for the city of Parkersburg during this pandemic. Other churches have joined in. You can use this as a time to connect with God and the people in our community.
  • We do not plan to host our JAM midweek children’s program until further notice. We have posted videos for our JAM families on our Facebook page. While on Facebook search for the #JAMDanceChallenge and #JAMFortChallenge to see what our JAM kids are up to!
  • We would invite anyone interested to join in a time of fasting and prayer this week (April 7-9) for the coronavirus pandemic. Although fasting is normally associated with food (only drinking water and juices) some may be unable to do that due to medical or some other reasons. In those instances you could also consider fasting from TV, social media, computer, etc. and using that time to pray, read God's Word, or reach out to share God's love in the name of Jesus.
  • Our Facebook page will continue to have up-to-date announcements, JAM videos, uplifting scriptures and different resources available to each of you. You can find us HERE. This is open to the public even if you aren’t a Facebook member.
  • Our church has access to thousands of good bible studies and resources through RightNow Media designed for individuals and families of all ages. If you would like access to the RightNow Media account join HERE.

Welcome to

Hope Reformed Church

Who We Are

Hope Reformed Church has been sharing God's message of love to the community of Parkersburg since 1956. We are a family that has been gathered and held together by the strength of God's grace and we want to make room for others so that God's family can continue to grow.

Our Mission

Empowered by God we are passionately encouraging others in their walk with Christ.

What We Believe

We believe that all people are made in the image of the Creator God and are deeply loved by God despite the fact that we all suffer and struggle with sin. We want others to know the truth of God's Word and the freedom and healing that Jesus alone can provide. We hope you'll join us in our journey as we follow Jesus.
